These incidents often result in a mass casualty scene and not understanding the unique safety and construction features can hamper rescue efforts. This HOT class is where students will see and have the opportunity to participate in extrication techniques and get hands-on with the many unique bus features. This includes practicing basic, intermediate and advanced extrication techniques on all bus components. These components include windows, doors, seats, sidewalls and roof structures. The use of hand tools, electric tools, hydraulic tools and pneumatic tools is included.
