HB 578 - LC 56 0324

Fire Service Leaders,

As you seek to serve the members of your communities in a variety of ways, I am writing to request your assistance in participation and/or promotion of a significant event that will support the many veterans in communities across the State that are in need of services and assistance.

The Supporting Our Veterans Golf Tournament will support Discovering Soldiers Potential, a non-profit organization that seeks to provide temporary, safe housing and provide transition services for our veterans. This new facility will be located in Spalding County, Georgia, but will serve veterans from across the State. A new service center will be opening and will have accommodations for veterans until they are able to get on their feet.

The tournament will be held at the Lake Jonesco Golf Course in Gray, Georgia on March 31, 2025.

This tournament is a service project for the Certified Public Manager program that we have several GPSTC members currently attending.  I ask that you consider participating in this event and / or sharing the information about the event with your colleagues. With your support, we can ensure that this tournament receives the attention and participation it deserves for our veterans.

I have attached a flyer and ask that you share the following link. It can be used to find out more information or sign up your teams today.

Your assistance in promoting this event and/or participation is greatly appreciated.
