Great news!! S. 870 to reauthorize AFG, SAFER and USFA through September 30, 2028 just passed the Senate by a vote of 88 to 2.
It’s now on its way to the President’s Desk where he will sign it within the next 10 business days.
The two no votes were Sen. Markey and Sanders. There no votes had nothing to do with the fire grants portion of the bill. They had to do with the unrelated nuclear licensing language that was added in the House.
