GSFA • January 13, 2022

Join us for the 2022 Firefighter Recognition Day:

Mini Conference & Legislative Appreciation Dinner

Georgia State Firefighters Association
Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation
Georgia Association of Fire Chiefs

All firefighters are invited to participate in the 2022 Firefighters Recognition Day at the Georgia Municipal Association Headquarters & Georgia Freight Depot. Firefighters Recognition Day is set by law as the first Tuesday in February and provides an opportunity to recognize and pay tribute to our fire service community. During the ceremonies, state elected officials will acknowledge and applaud contributions made by all fire service personnel in Georgia and also recognize and present commendations to award recipients of the Georgia State Firefighters Association, Georgia Association of Fire Chiefs, and Georgia Fire Inspectors Association. This event is typically held at the State Capital, but this year it will be held at the Georgia Freight Depot in downtown Atlanta.

After the ceremony, be prepared to have the best barbecue you have ever tasted, thanks to the expert cooks from the Vienna Fire Department. The Legislative Appreciation Dinner is jointly sponsored by the Georgia State Firefighters Association, Georgia Association of Fire Chiefs and Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation and provides an opportunity to spend time with state leaders and legislators to network and discuss important fire service issues. There is a $10 per person ticket cost for the Georgia Fire Service Legislative Appreciation Dinner and pre-registration is strongly encouraged.
