2024 GSFA Board & District Vice President Nominations

Submit Your Nomination to Serve on the GSFA

Board of Directors or as a District Vice President

 

GSFA is accepting nominations for individuals to serve on its Board of Directors. Board members will serve two year term that runs from November 2024 - 2026. For more information on the responsibilities of each position, click here.

 

Completed Board of Directors nomination forms must be received by September 16, 2024. All seats on the Board of Directors are open for nominations. 

 

The incoming President will name District Vice Presidents soon after the Georgia Fire Service Conference. GSFA is expanding its District Vice President program and would like to have several people serving in this role in each district. In addition to the responsibilities listed in the bylaws, district vice presidents will serve as part of GSFA's Membership Growth Committee which is working on member engagement strategies and expanding association participation across the state.

Since 1972, GSFA has recognized firefighters through its annual recognition program.  Award recipients will be recognized at the 2025 Firefighters Recognition Day. Recognition is given for the following categories:

 

Firefighter of the Year

Rookie of the Year

Instructor of the Year

Company Officer of the Year

Educator of the Year

Life Saving Valor Award
