The 2012 Georgia Fire Service Conference sponsored by the Georgia State Firefighters Association and Georgia Association of Fire Chiefs will be in Dalton, Georgia, on August 22-25, 2012. Check-out is on Sunday, August 26. The conference is being hosted by the Dalton Fire Department who is ‘ALL FIRED UP’.

Deal taps Bearden for director of Georgia Public Safety Training Center

Gov. Nathan Deal has named Rep. Tim Bearden of Villa Rica as his choice for director of the Georgia Public Safety Training Center.  Upon approval by the Georgia Board of Public Safety, Bearden would replace Dale Mann, who is retiring from the post after more than 25 years of service, and take office effective Nov.1.
